Obtain Approval for CNE Activities

NOTICE (November 1, 2018): The Continuing Education Approval Board (CEAB), ANNA’s approver unit, oversees the process of reviewing, approving, and awarding contact hours for continuing nursing education (CNE). CEAB provides services to ANNA chapters and other organizations seeking to offer CNE programs for contact hour credit. After careful review of the use of CEAB services and associated costs, the ANNA Board of Directors determined it is no longer financially feasible to keep CEAB operational and will discontinue CEAB effective April 15, 2019. Please note the following dates regarding application submissions to CEAB:
  • March 1, 2019 – CEAB will accept “on-time” applications (received 45 days or more prior to the educational event) through March 1, 2019. Normal application fees will apply.
  • March 15, 2019 – Final date for submission of “late” applications to CEAB (submitted 44-30 days prior to the educational event). Standard late fees will be applied to these applications.

Starting a New Application? ~ Application Checklist

Due to the extensive review/correction process, it is very important to submit your application for review at least 45 calendar days prior to the event date to be considered an “on time” application. Any requests received 30-44 calendar days prior to the event date will be subject to a late fee (3x the original fee). Applications received 29 or fewer calendar days before the activity start date will not be accepted.

When starting a new application, please have the following documents ready before you begin the online application process:

  • Credit card that you will use for payment.
  • Conflict of Interest Form(s) – Two Conflict of Interest Forms are part of the online application: one for the nurse planner and and one for the content expert. If you have additional presenters and/or planning committee members, each must complete a Conflict of Interest Form.
  • Education Planning Table(s) – The Education Planning Table for the first presenter is part of the online application. If you have additional presenters, each must complete an Education Planning Table.
  • Promotional Flyers
  • Disclosure Declaration Memorandum & Evaluation Form and extra Session Specific Evaluation Tables, if needed
  • Commercial Support Agreement Form - If commercial support is just paying for a vending table, then a Commercial Support Agreement form is not required. Please still list the vendors on the Disclosure Declaration Memorandum & Evaluation Form with a note that they are simply vending in the exhibit hall for your program.
