ANNA Members Participate in Health Policy Workshop, Meet with Legislators on Capitol Hill

Nephrology nurses from across the country gathered in Washington, DC, on June 10-11, 2019, for the ANNA Health Policy Workshop. They visited Capitol Hill to educate legislators about the impact of kidney disease and advocated for issues important to the nephrology nursing community, including:

  • Fiscal Year 2020 Funding for the Nursing Workforce Development Programs
  • Fiscal Year 2020 Funding for Biomedical Research and Patient Safety Programs
  • Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act of 2019
  • Living Donor Protection Act of 2019
  • Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act of 2019
  • Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2019
  • United States Cadet Nurse Corps Service Recognition Act 2019
