CMS Adds Star Ratings to Dialysis Facility Compare Website and Additional Information / Updates

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) added star ratings to the Dialysis Facility Compare (DFC) website on January 22, 2015. These ratings summarize performance data and spotlight excellence in health care quality. In addition to posting the star ratings, CMS updated data on individual DFC quality measures to reflect the most recent data for the existing measures.

AHRQ Introduces Toolkit to Helps Keep Dialysis Patients Safer

To help prevent infection in people with end-stage renal disease, the Agency for Health Research & Quality (AHRQ) has developed a new resource called the AHRQ Safety Program for End-Stage Renal Disease Facilities Toolkit.
