Michael Cunningham Appointed ANNA's Executive Director

The ANNA Board of Directors has appointed Michael Cunningham as ANNA's Executive Director, effective October 1, 2001. Also effective this date, all national office, executive management responsibilities, and communications will be consolidated in the ANNA National Office located in Pitman, NJ.

In his position as Executive Director, Mr. Cunningham will work closely with the Board of Directors, volunteers, members, and the nephrology community in furthering ANNA's mission.

In collaboration with the ANNA Board of Directors, Mr. Cunningham will have responsibility for:

Developing appropriate goals and strategies to advance ANNA’s mission.

Establishing operational objectives that support the ANNA Strategic Plan.

Overseeing day-to-day operational management.

Developing financial strategies.

Ensuring that solid planning and budgeting systems are in place.

Working together with key stakeholders within the nephrology community, including organizations and corporations.

Managing ANNA programs and services.

Mr. Cunningham's professional experience includes more than 20 years in health care marketing and association management, including 20 years of corporate marketing within the nephrology market while serving as ANNA's Director of Marketing and Account Executive. His experience also includes working with several association clients within nursing.
